What’s a good movie / tv show that escapes the narrative fallacy? I’d like to watch something showing men evolving inside complex, emergent systems, instead of the usual emphasis on the impact and linear story of a lone hero

Now that I think of it you may not like Boyhood since it’s very linear and focused on one character. But what I love about it is that things don’t always happen for a narrative reason.

Oh yeah, good to differentiate structuralism from slice of life. They both do something similar for me but I could imagine someone liking one but not the other. What is constraint? (Or did you mean cobstraint?
