Yeah I loved that article too -- although I think there's still some part of me that looks at those pairings and thinks "Well of course *I* would take the good photo" and is truly surprised when I try to do so irl and fail

It's uncanny how in almost every pair of photos, the amateur shot has ~infinite depth of field and the pro shot has a much thinner one. It's far from the only difference; but the article would work just as well for highlighting the advantages of pro gear over amateur gear :-)
