I really appreciate Noah’s perspective here. It’s a healthy reminder (for me) that while extreme leftism does exist on college campuses, the outrage against it—by many conservatives, centrists, and libertarians—pattern-matches a moral panic...

I don’t know what to think! TBH I’m all ready to be swept up by this moral panic, and it would probably be a good thing. I just appreciate that someone is willing to say, “Hey, wait a minute...”

Agreed. While I’m sure the regressive leftism is very real, the backlash seems wildly disproportionate. 95% of my peer group voted for Hillary but even in that bubble I rarely see SJW behavhior.

on a regular basis on my walk across campus there is some dude with a megaphone telling students they’re going to hell, while holding anti-abortion or anti-homosexual signs, and students mostly ignore. I haven’t seen SJW behavior on campus in general

when i meet with undergrads i sometimes ask them about ‘regressive left’ behavior (if they see it on campus), and uniformly so far no one has said they have
