I was planning to write something that adds an Ad-style countdown of X seconds before showing the twitter page. The countdown can also progressively increase and appear more frequently based on usage.
My Twitter right now is flickering like an old TV set. It's exactly how I want it: usable, but certainly not fun :) (I'm experimenting with ways to gracefully degrade the UI as a deterrent to prolonged usage. Part of my http://browsewithintent.com project.)pic.twitter.com/5wGn6q3PGd

Kevin, I've been loving intent the last few weeks. Thanks. One thing: it would be great to distinguish Facebook usage from Facebook ads usage. I spent an hour and a half yesterday setting up ads and it counted as my Facebook time.

Unless, of course, the goal is to also decrease the number of ads in the world. In which case that's a feature not a bug.

Not particularly (if I’m understanding your question). I think fidelity is part of conditioning. You can help decondition yourself by making your experience less enjoyable.
