What I look for in ppl I follow: 1. Able to teach me new things 2. High signal:noise ratio 3. Polite & agreeable 4. Original thoughts > RTs

Not sure I agree re retweets. There's such a thing as high retweet quality.
That's how I felt when I first joined Twitter, but I've been gravitating to original tweeters lately. But to each their own!

Following just 492 people and not liking RTs will limit your network of original thought. RTs are amplification not noise.

I definitely appreciate some retweets, maybe up to 1 in every 3 tweets. Personal preference I guess.
