I like this metaphor. Q: do you think people are creating/spreading dyes intentionally, to identify susceptible areas?
(E.g., some have argued that Trump is doing this, to suss out who is/isn't loyal to him.)

meaning what? he plants a juicy tidbit that is actually false, and only tells suspected leakers. if it leaks his suspicion is confirmed?
