You can add location information to your Tweets, such as your city or precise location, from the web and via third-party applications. You always have the option to delete your Tweet location history. Learn more
i guess they technically have the power to gatekeep, but they mostly refrain from using it (to the point where the term doesn’t seem to fit)

French and German anti Nazi propaganda laws require that info be dropped there. US has same for certain inciting violence speech as well.
I agree they aren't actively stopping the flow of information except in narrow instances.
I remember Joe Rogan talking about how Google made searches for American inventors different so as to include more women and colored people
