Would you be more ruthless in editing if you used a voice that's less stereotypically classy than the voice in your head?

Do you find you can be more objective about what you hear when it's someone(thing) other than yourself reading it back?

I do this without assistance, as I'm British. I have changed my siri voice to Australian though (rising intonation alert!)

I also find using a British accent helps hide Text-to-Speech weirdness when it has trouble saying words correctly.
