Email I just wrote to a calculus student complaining about the “proofs” in the textbook.
I like :). (Currently exasperated by hearing so many people attempt to play the "science" card in debate; "well the science says" etc.)

Yeah… problem is, getting a clear understanding of what science does and doesn’t deliver is really hard.

But, it seems increasingly critical to raise the level of understanding of both how science *can* deliver reliable knowledge, and its limits
