Have weird distorted belief in the back of my head (which I know is false) that networking doesn't work because it's never worked for me.
Talking about ideas with like-minded (or like-spirited) people is a form of networking, no?

I would say I hope so, but also feel like that also can be a really rewarding thing in different ways for its own sake.

If a conversation with someone else helps you develop own ideas then I see how it could be a form of networking, but also seems different.
