Can anyone muster a reasonable (if ultimately misguided) argument for the position that "hate speech" is tantamount to violence?
I realize it's misguided and even very dangerous, but what's the most charitable way to understand it?

By analogy, hate speech is violence of an I direct sort. More broadly, any speech can be construed as violent given the right intention
