Basically, hate speech (esp. right-wing stuff lately) breeds lethal violence among supporters. While not everyone will do it, some % will.

The other side of this, the no-patformers, are trying to push society into saying “this is not OK”. We want racists to stop killing people.

So most "hate speech" isn't straight up blood libel, but publicly casting people as monsters sorta predictably results in attacks.
