      Any traditional "news" outfit wanting to destroy fake news can at any time just sell pure news to the public.That *none* even try tells all.

      My mental model says that demand for "fake" news simply (unfortunately) outstrips demand for real/pure news

      This is part of why there needs to be subsidies for quality journalism and research/writing.
