honest question: how do you think you would feel right now if you were, say, brown?

less apathetic? more sad? more afraid? (esp. depending on citizenship status)

do you think you have a responsibility to feel less apathetic for those people who are afraid? how do you think about ethics?

do you think those people that are afraid shouldn't be? do you think their minds have been hijacked?

my biggest hangup is that politics is 98% optics, 2% real value/incentives. and i can't get motivated to do "good" by that ratio :(

i'm also confused how you get from "C,C is the ideal box in PD" to "therefore we evolved to cooperate."

I don't say we evolved to cooperate. In fact, I say ethics emerged to solve PD at scale where it's NOT possible to cooperate.
