If I knew him, I'd shun Thiel—but I think YC is reasonable for not doing so. Given his volatility, I think it could go poorly.
So you'd shun Trump (0th order), Thiel (1st order), but have no appetite for 2nd-order shunning/moralizing/punishment?

I wouldn't shun a normal trump supporter for being that. Thiel's level of engagement + capacity to be better informed, of note.
