On my Mac I have a file I created (on an older Mac) in 1992. On the net I have this http://folk.uio.no/jkleiser/test/passwd-bug.html … from 1996.
so far you're the winner with 1992. out of curiosity, what's the file format?

The file extension is ".mw". It's a text document, probably made with ClarisWorks.
