      As usual, Trump's talking about a real issue -- unemployment rate doesn't capture all the unemployed -- in a totally confused and false way.

      If you're not actively looking for work, you're not considered part of the labor force for the purposes of measuring the unemployment rate.

      I think he's playing fast and loose with terminology here, but he's not actively misleading. (He does that elsewhere.)

      "Employed" is a reasonable, though imprecise, gloss for "not 'unemployed'."

          If govt. actually counted not-empl./not-looking as employed, official unempl. rate would be dramatically lower.

          I think when most people hear "unemployment is 6%," they think, "employment is at 94%." Anyway, just my two cents.
