Our current physics says there's no way for the entropy of the whole universe to go down (2nd law of thermodynamics).

I think the presence of life speeds up overall entropy increase, compared to an equivalent system w/o life.

Mayyyybe we can figure out how to reverse entropy, but that's pure speculation, like faster-than-light travel.
