I trace the dawning of my personal philosophy to the moment when, as a 13-year-old, someone took me seriously enough to argue with my ideas.
Did other people try to intervene previously, but without taking your ideas seriously / treating you as an adult?

Some people engaged a little, but mostly laughed it off, or dismissed it as unreasonable. None of which did anything for me.

Some people told me my parents didn't see things that way, which I already knew, and which did nothing for me either.
