@drethelin Are people trying to actively borrow/enjoy/appropriate Orthodox Jewish culture? If no, that makes it easier keep the walls up.

@drethelin Personally I've been in situations where I want to enjoy some cultural product, but feel that I'm ruining the vibe when I do.

@KevinSimler I think that's an applicable thing but don't think it's appropriation. Disruptive in a different way, like funeral rapping

@drethelin btw I've never used the phrase "cultural appropriation" before... not a concept I'm trying to defend so much as understand
