Let me try this again: Are there principles that let you condemn suicide bombing, but not falling on a grenade and/or volunteering for war?

@TristanSevers I'd never have thought to put it that way, but I have the same feelings about valor as a virtue: hazy, narrative, aesthetic
@TristanSevers At the same time, it seems appropriate in this case. Isn't that the virtue most people would appeal to?

@KevinSimler Yeah, it's definitely the relevant virtue, and more relevant than the "laws or war" or whatever else you could point at. -
@KevinSimler But unfortunately this is a case where once you've identified the right Q it just tells you interesting things about the Q.
