Anyone have a decent grasp on animism? I'm curious whether the animist *worldview* can be analyzed apart from its *worship practices.*

@sscotty But is that parallel valid? Did farmer gods slowly evolve (culturally) out of animist/forager spirits?
@sscotty I'd wager that farmer worship practices evolved out of forager totemism/cults/ancestor worship. But are the beliefs isomorphic?
