Anyone have a decent grasp on animism? I'm curious whether the animist *worldview* can be analyzed apart from its *worship practices.*

@KevinSimler I don’t think you can create the division. Rituals can’t be extracted from daily life. There is a fusion between the two.
@sscotty yeah I'm sure you're right. Here's what I'm struggling with: There's an easy parallel between animist "spirits" and farmer "gods"

@sscotty I'd wager that farmer worship practices evolved out of forager totemism/cults/ancestor worship. But are the beliefs isomorphic? -
