Shower thought: do people using the phrase "semantic games" etc understand what 'semantics' means? What could be *more* worth arguing about?

@gwern I also used to be confused by this, btw. I think people often brush things off as "just semantics" when they shouldn't
@gwern but the charitable reading is that they're saying, "Let's not argue over the arbitrary mapping b/t words and meanings."
