Shower thought: do people using the phrase "semantic games" etc understand what 'semantics' means? What could be *more* worth arguing about?

@gwern it *should* be about the underlying reality, but occasionally gets bogged down in arguments about how to label things
@gwern I also used to be confused by this, btw. I think people often brush things off as "just semantics" when they shouldn't
