We don't particularly valorize "good manners" these days, but a lot of bad behavior online is a basic failure in that department.

@drethelin totally. And those people have a point: manners are used for elitism/social gatekeeping :(. But they're also v. useful

@KevinSimler What they miss out on are game theoretic reasons to keep to common manners even if the opponent benefits from them -
