I’m going on a roadtrip soon. Starting in Nashville, heading over to the Great Smoky Mountains, and then up to Charleston WV. Would love any suggestions for places to stop / things to see along the way!

That sounds like great advice for powering through, but I’m actually more interested in the journey/detours than getting to the destination :). (I’m traveling with friends, and the whole point is to see a part of the country we’ve never been to.)

Just stay in Nashville. No need to go any further.

Blue ridge parkway near Asheville is excellent. There are waterfalls, natural water slides, tons of hiking. Our favorite stop near Asheville: No Taste Like Home. It’s a foraging tour.

Here are 7d and 8d itineraries for 4 travelers in 1 car. If you tell me more desired waypoints and budget - I will find the most interesting itineraries in all those your conditions.pic.twitter.com/EO6Bv8kGOy
