I'd go more like (-1, 2) for the diagonals, and (6, 6) for the (sincerity, sincerity). Not that the median is 6, but all the high outliers are in this quadrant, dragging up the mean.

Completely agree. Though also strongly feel sincerity compounds if allowed to play repeatedly. So ~ergodic: ensemble average is 6 pulled up by high outliers, but the time average of each individual repeatedly choosing sincerity also 6 and > irony.

I’d add a third column for “logging off”, and make all the payoffs for the other options negative.
