as a sincere sausage myself this doesn't map my experience. this type of thinking also seems rather masculine to me
i find that being sincere in the face of irony is vulnerable, yes, but also one of the most powerful ways to heal the world if what you stand for is Love

yeah I think there are contexts where my payoff matrix is roughly right and many contexts where it isn’t. Interesting that you see it in a gendered way.
