idea: put all of my non-mutual follows in a list called "consume" (or w/e) and then unfollow them I'm intrigued by how that might affect my Twitter experience

I’ve been thinking about making an alt under my real name, protected account, following and followed by just a few dozen mutuals (ppl I learn the most from). Kinda like my own private Slack or email list, but with the Twitter interface/norms.

To me, the twitter interface/norms are the problem. I wish there was a way to make sure that all our communication approximates the mutual best interest.

I’m specifically thinking about the character limit and lossy feed (ppl don’t necessarily read/reply to everything). Both of those together make it easier for me to post on Twitter vs. other forums. The stereotypical antipatterns (e.g. outrage mobs) don’t bother me too much.

But maybe I’m misunderstanding your point, or indexing on different parts of the Twitter experience...?
