Thanks for sharing Jessica. This might sound strange, and I don’t mean to gloss over all the bad parts of your experience, but... it’s kinda cool that you got to re-examine your beliefs from the ground up. An experience that ppl from more “normal” backgrounds don’t usually get.

Yep, there are a lot of good things that came out of these experiences. I wondered whethered to include them here but I was getting tired of this piece, might do so in another one. At first I was annoyed to realise there might have been benefits, but now I accept it
