What’s an example of something you found surprising amount of signal in? (or “imputed surprising amount of signal into?”)

Oh yes so the category would be something like “non-fiction books that are commercially successful/popular” I used to assume that if normies liked it, I almost certainly wouldnt, but that’s more or less false

It’s not socially prestigious to trade book recalls for non-obscure books, though. At least not in my circles
