I find this a really strange view. For those of us who do most of our learning on the internet, who is bothering to find out the age (or gender or race or sexuality or ...) of publishers? You see the content, if it looks worth reading you read, otherwise you skip. No?
Excellent point. The internet mitigates most of this problem. On Twitter, one of my problems is finding the right young people to follow. The noise:signal ratio is typically higher, IMO. But some of the signal is really valuable, precisely because I can’t receive it on my own.

Why is it important that they're young, why is that the filter? Are you trying to get a handle on new cultural trends? (eg ASMR) That I think is legit. But seeking some sort of "Young people think X" is deluding yourself, chasing something that doesn't exist.
