I’m pretty sure I get it, but I wouldn’t mind hearing what you think is the appeal/dynamic of shitposting. I am religiously on team seriouspost (“effortpost”?), and mostly want to read others’ serious stuff.

personal level: I naturally admire witty people on here w good humor (often encoding interesting observations), so it’s probably me mimicking them beyond that, i think good shitposts/memes are ingroup auth tokens that r hard to forge/easy to validate bc u either get it or don’t
