I’m pretty sure I get it, but I wouldn’t mind hearing what you think is the appeal/dynamic of shitposting. I am religiously on team seriouspost (“effortpost”?), and mostly want to read others’ serious stuff.
Here’s a stab: Shitposting is like casual hanging out with friends. Whereas effortposting is going to a formal dinner party and sharing your “considered thoughts.” (I don’t like what this implies about my taste for effortposting....)

I see benefit in this separation in shitposting and effortposting, but I also like retweeting or sharing whatever comes up while completely understanding its not effortpost level. I guess it's the followers that suffer because they're here for effortpost. oh well- we're all human
