This is one of the articles I think about most often. Owen Pallett explains the music theory behind Teenage Dream, IMO one of the most exhilarating pop songs of the last 20 years. Nothing stands out, but it’s the same kind of analysis of pop music as in the article you posted. One of the hosts is a music producer and the other is a musicologist. Dunno if you’ll like it but it could be worth listening to an episode or two.
