Mind re-stating the last question for me?
IIRC, clouds are a function of humidity and temperature together. Whereas smoke will be visible no matter what temperature the air happens to be. (It’s likely I’m asking questions from a point of conceptual confusion....)

To make it a question, I guess, I’m wondering how much cloud dynamics differ from smoke dynamics due to clouds being driven by 2+ factors

I think the dynamics are relatively the same. Probably some small differences because of temperature changes (latent heat release, capture) but the bigger difference is in the thermodynamics.
