Yeah...given how easy it is to do, I just delete and repost if necessary. The main use case I see is preserving your likes and RTs, but that's precisely the situation where editing would cause a lot of problems! (and particularly the types of problems ppl want Twitter to solve)

Actually YouTube is starting to allow us to edit videos. I think this is a good thing. I think editing should be fully enabled there, and here, along with an obvious “edited” tag like on facebook comments and a viewable edit history.

On reddit there’s a robust culture of labelling the edits you make to a post. I think that could apply here. There’d need to be community guidelines in terms of “re-editing viral tweet to be an ad” or whatever, but I’m sure it could be done
