I’m not a fan of his Twitter feed. Friends I’ve spoken with are also turned off by it. But at this point I’ve listened to most of his podcast appearances, and in that format he’s much less of a provocateur. In fact he’s highly empathetic — not to mention broad, cogent, incisive.

He recently launched his own podcast, The Portal. Ep. 1 was a 3-hour interview with Peter Thiel. Among other things, I loved the extended discussion on political violence. But ep. 2, in which he describes his plans and goals for the podcast, has me unreasonably excited.

the violence discussion was great, as well as the brief intro to Girard! Peter's point about the U.S. president having extremely limited power within the country, but nearly unlimited power outside the country, has also been something I have been thinking about after listening.
