What’s an area where you feel like the whole world has gone crazy and you’re one of few sane people left?

Dating. Everyone seems to treat it as an impossible and painful chore, instead of an exciting and fun game. People even mention how much they hate dating on their online dating profiles! That's crazy to me, I love dating so much.
Why do you think your experience diverges so sharply from most other people's?

Hypothesis 0: many people enjoy dating, but it's gauche to say it while dating complaints and horror stories get shared.

Hypothesis 1: laziness. Good dating takes effort, from one's presentation (on or offline), filtering, reaching out, planning fun date activities... I see so many people just swipe on Tinder and then message "so, coffee?" if anyone bites.
