I have a chip on my shoulder about people saying “I feel” about non-emotions.
“I feel scared and angry.”
“I feel attacked.” 

“I feel like you are attacking me.”
I can tell by the way I react that I’m overreacting, but I think there’s some there there too.

IMO it’s fine, as long as you’re not the kind of person who uses “feelings” as a way to keep your perspective from being called into question. That’s really what’s at stake here, I think.

I have at other times defended the idea that thoughts and feelings are pretty much the same thing... not yet sure how to square that circle.
