What are some lifestyle choices or decisions you’ve made that most people would consider “unconventional”? — taking a different path, coloring outside the lines, etc. If those choices are in hindsight, how do you think about them now?

Always lived in group houses - I still endorse; I always imagine I would be too lonely by myself. Went from atheist to some sort of spiritual, and utilitarian to something systems-like - much endorse, my life is so much better Moved away from my partner yet stayed together

You seem like someone who makes so many unconventional choices that I kinda want to flip the question around: What are the biggest areas in your life where you’ve outsourced your decisions to convention?

I went to university to do an undergrad degree I thought I should have; finished it even though I didn’t get a lot out of it.

Had retail jobs in HS because I wanted my own money even though they sucked (although I was the youngest sales associate there so I probably lose some normie points).

Huh... I didn’t realize until just now how many summers I wasted doing internships without even thinking about whether it was a good idea for me. I just did it because it’s what everyone around me seemed to be doing :(.

Not sure I’d have done differently, but I’m disappointed with myself for not even seriously asking the question.
