What are some lifestyle choices or decisions you’ve made that most people would consider “unconventional”? — taking a different path, coloring outside the lines, etc. If those choices are in hindsight, how do you think about them now?

Dropped out of high school halfway through to become a homeschooler/autodidact. It worked out great. In fact, when I tell people about it, I often get “I wish I could have done that!”

Couldn't play in the high school jazz band anymore. (I ended up joining the one at the local university though)

Actually, there was a really great physics teacher at my high school, Mr. Donaldson, and I missed out on taking his advanced courses (Optics and Origins of Science). That was the worst. Wasn't worth all the rest of high school though
