What are some lifestyle choices or decisions you’ve made that most people would consider “unconventional”? — taking a different path, coloring outside the lines, etc. If those choices are in hindsight, how do you think about them now?

In high school becoming a major drug dealer, then upon graduation leaving the lifestyle entirely. I mostly think about that time in my life as selfish egoism, and about the people I harmed. Though it certainly was not boring.

Would you do it again if you were in the same situation (back in high school)?

With hindsight, no. All the money in the world isn't worth the toll it took on the people around me. It was about a five year process to establish a "normal" adult relatnship with my parents. Two friends were killed. I was kidnapped in Mexico and Honduras. A mess all around.

People don't often graduate from "street dealers" to legitimate dealers. That career path is advertised but it's mostly a ruse because the people who are really in charge know that street dealers are mostly low intelligence/low conscientiousness people.
