I didn't know about the Good News Translation of the Bible until today, but count me a fan. The plain language is so refreshing.

Interesting. Good translations are hard to come by in English writing. Christianity feels unnatural to the West in its explanation of worship or faith, or prophesy. Little of it neatly maps to Western psychology, which explains why our approach to the text is merely exegesis.
Would love a translation for friends other than KJV that is as close to the septuagint or the Latin Vulgate as possible. For English speakers, KJV is preferred if precision is the aim. But this GNT might be pleasant for readability.
