Yep also this. My preference: revillaging, so that working, learning and childraising are all intermingled and kids learn to be humans by being mentored by the adults in their lives that love them.
do you have any models for this? how much do you have to opt out of society to get this kind of village?

Things that are currently models: Hackermoms Touring trad circuses Berkeley rationalist community The MVP is one group house with other parents and their children, and permanent guest space. Long term requires owning property though.
