As a result I’ve found myself in a percolation threshold wormhole for the past couple of hours..
haha i took a peek down the wormhole and was overcome by vertigo. one question i struggled with was proving *any* upper bound (<1) on the critical threshold for the 2D grid network in my post. i made no progress after 30min or so and gave up....
