1. This is amazing 2. I had never considered the idea of careerism as “immunity” to knowledge sharing. That’s an incredibly powerful insight. You could consider toxic members in any community have similar effects.

Note that Sam accuses "toxic" members of being the problem. But it's the careerist gatekeepers themselves who determine who qualifies as "toxic." The "toxic" ones are the ones pointing out careerists' flaws. He has it all backwards but I guess it maintains the worldview.
