what’s the deal with the “become good” slogan? backstory, connotations, etc.?
i feel like it’s a “✓ ingroup” thing that i never entirely picked up on
isn’t there some popular parenting advice around this? like you’re supposed to praise a kid for working hard, not for “being” smart. but then you praise them for “being” a good person. (something about making “good person” part of their identity....) i never quite understood it
