What are some things you don't understand, but somehow feel you're supposed to? (Based on your education, background, what people assume of you, etc.)
What about computers don't you understand? (If specificity is possible....)

My domain is roughly pipeline management and distributed compute. However, my understanding of the underlying hardware, assembly, C, even Java (!) on which the tools I use daily are built on is minimal. It’s a problem of specialization and abstraction.

However, it’d be impossible for me to understand the whole stack, and that’s something I’ve come to terms with. I love this quote by Alfred North Whitehead: “Civilization advances by extending the number of important operations which we can perform without thinking about them."
